  • Employee Competency System
    07/07/2009 - Initially designed as a Microsoft Access 2003 database. Generates Competency matrices in Excel. Now upsized to SQL Server 2005 with an Access 2007 client.
  • Staff Placement and Equipment Database
    2/03/2009 - Converted a series of Excel spreadsheets recording PC network ports of staff into an Access Database that helps manage staff (especially temporary staff) locations.
  • Membership Database
    26/06/2009 - I manintain and improve a whole SQL Server 2005 back end/Access 2007 fron end applications for a well known WA organisation.
    
• 15 years of application development..
  • 1993 - Trained a team of developers at The British Council in the use of Microsoft Access and then helped them develop a whole host of end-user databases.
  • 1994 - Finished off a debt collection management system for a company in Woking. The system allowed the company to grow several fold.
  • 2004 - Post-graduate thesis management system. Converted a set Excel Spreadsheets used to manage post graduate students' thesis examinations into a bespoke application to automate the process, driven by the chief user.
  • 2005 - Built an iron ore cost forecasting system for Rio Tinto.
  • 2006 - Built a cost management system for the Forest Commission. Imported the original data from Excel and designed a bespoke application driven by the chief user.
