Teaching English as a Foreign Language
I have to thank my dear wife for the idea. I was getting increasingly nervous about the prospect of keeping up with and learning every new software upgrade so that I could pass on all that technical detail to people coming on IT courses. The brave new world of the internet had left me cold years ago and it was only getting worse with every new Microsoft product designed with the assumption that everyone understood all this stuff.
“Why don’t you try to teach English?” she asked. “That doesn’t change – not nearly as quickly anyway.”
Good point.
So I booked myself onto a CELTA course at Phoenix Academy in North Perth and the rest is history.
